K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit Part #63-3056 Customer Reviews

I love K & N products and this is definitely what i was looking for when i bought the product. I wanted an easier access to my filter and this provided that; however I am not real pleased with the sound of the engine after installation.

easy to install jury's still out on fuel mileage. don't think it's worth the price for a few pieces of plastic and a filter.it does role along now without search for a shift.right now it's not driving weather. When the weather changes then the test will come.Delivery was swift and prompt.

I had read that changing the air filter on my HHR was a daunting task, so at 36K miles I ordered the K&N kit. The day it arrived, I pulled the HHR into the garage for the installation. 50 minutes later I washed my hands and took a test drive. This was the easiest after market installation I have ever done. So far I've seen better performance and improved mileage. The car even sounds beefier. I would highly recommend it! Now I need to get one for my wife's car . . .

Good product well designed and fit w/o any problems. It took approximately an hour to install w/o rushing, hand tools only. Installation hint, look at the illustration/part lists, than follow written instructions. HHR is more responsive and a touch louder. Mileage on the open road cruising seems to be approximately 1 to 2 mpg better than stock breather system.

All the items needed are provided and the instructions are OK. Read them thtough first because you'll know where you're headed and it'll go easier as the tool list isn't complete/correct. Looks nice when done and seems to provide power in 3500-5500 range.

GOOD: I have gained 3 to 4 miles per gallon at highway speeds and in traffic about one. The instructions could be written better and the picture quality on the instructions needs better resolution.

This product does increase the performance of the 2.4 ecotec motor at around 3k rpm and up. It does add slightly more noise under hard acceleration, but not much more than the norm for the 2.4 motor. Installation instructions need improvement (better pictures) Anyone with average mechanical skills should be able to do the install without too much trouble.
