Found that the mounting holes were a little off and the rubber gasket around the air box is not fully closing off the air form the engine compartment, found better response and increase in fuel mileage still have to do the exhaust to get what the Duramax is about. am happy with the way it working..

Awful instructions, I haven't been able to drive it a single day

The instructions DO NOT tell you which electrical plug is the MAS, and which is NOT. Since there are two choices and there are NO diagrams, you are left to trial and error, and I never thought to check the SHORTER of the two to use the EXTENSION cable for I thought I received the wrong cable for four days until the replacement showed up in the mail. BOY do I feel stupid, for thinking the extension cable was for the shorter/closer electrical connector of the two. (I know what the MAS is for and k

Haven't Noticed Much Difference

Longer to install than advertised, but eventually got it. Haven't noticed much difference yet -- sounds about the same, no noticeable difference in acceleration or performance. Still early but may have actually decreased mileage a little bit.

Looks great and adds performance

Installed on my 2013 3500HD Dually with 6.6 Duramax. Took a little over an hour to install but that was taking my time and being meticulous. The directions were a little unclear at times when it read "install with supplied hardware" and all you had was a bag of bolts and washers. A couple of rubber grommets were said to be included but were not there, however, the OE grommets were removed from the old unit and fit just fine. A definite increase in response, Sound and MPG have not changed.

2500HD performance upgrade

I read mixed customers reviews about this K&N cold air intake. After an easy install, couldn't really tell much difference from stock intake. It breathed a lot more air, but other than that, was pretty disappointed. If the price wasn't such a good deal, probably wouldn't have bothered getting it!! Hopefully fuel miles per gallon will improve. Only time will tell.

Looks great! Didn't really feel or hear the difference after instalation, except for the gas pedal feeling a bit lighter. My truck seems to accelerate quicker as well.

You don't hear much about air intakes for Diesel trucks, Probably because people are tuner crazy for their Diesels. However I am keeping my factory warranty and enjoying +.5 MPG's and the extra HP and Torque gains on my 2011 Duramax. Installation was a breeze I had misc nuts and bolts left over. (I opted to use some O.E. Bolts instead of the stainless ones that are provided in the kit.

I installed this on my 2011 GMC Duramax and didn't notice a power increase in any power band. There was also a very definite increase in the sound of air vibrating through the ram tube in the 20-25 mph range. I thought that it could have been the heat shield cover vibrating because it is a little flimsy but it wasn't. I ended up putting the stock intake back on, just to make sure, and still seems to be no power difference and the loud noise has disappeared.
