This intake works excellently on my 2012 mitsubishi lancer es, anyone with a lancer thinking about buying this intake stop thinking and just buy it already you will not be disappointed, there is a very noticeable difference in power and sound! I could not be happier with the results.

I bought this for myself for Christmas and installed it before a 1,310 Mile trip from GA to DC and Back and it passed with flying colors, much better engine response from 3-6K rpm range and much better fuel efficiency, got me up to 36MPG (2008 Mitsubishi lancer DE MT). I would recommend this product to anybody that is willing to spend a little time under the hood for a massive reward afterwards.

This is actually a really good system. I've noticed an improvement in noise, hp, and less crowded under my hood. Its gonna be a pain when I have to take it the bumper off to clean it! Other than that, this is a great set with good instructions for installation. On my lancer, the little hose that connects to the engine was a bit short to reach (I wish I knew what it was called) so you might have to get a little longer hose for it.

Picked it up and installed it the next day with the help of my girlfriend. Everything looked really good and the instructions helped a lot. Only thing is, the instructions said to take out the whole front bumper, but i found it easier and faster to just take the lower plastic covers under the radiator and it's surroundings. Installation didn't take more than 30 min. Couldn't wait and took it for a test drive and it sounded really good. Really happy with the CAI. Throttle response is better, can feel the power when i step on the throttle, and was able to get 27.9 mpg out of the lancer instead of being stuck with 23.5 mpgs!!!

Install can be a little tricky if you don't know what you're doing. I did research. It sounds absolutely amazing. You will have a little less throttle response at lower rpms but huge gains at the top. Make sure to get the hydroshield or you'll be sorry.

Great buy!! install took about an hour and a half but i took my time. the instructions said to remove the front bumper but I tool the drivers side wheel and plastic wheel well and got in behind. MUCH EASIER! oh and i think it was step 17 was in the wrong order. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!
