Banks Ram-Air Intake Part #42135 Customer Reviews

The instructions are easy to use. Can't feel much power difference. Did get more air to the engine. I can see the difference in my tail pipe almost no smoke now. As far as sound, no real difference from stock. The quality was good but would love to see stronger clamps on the connections.

Pretty darn easy to install. Looks great. The truck accelerates a lot better. First test was an increase of 1 MPG. The truck has a 6.6 Duramax so at over 4 dollars a gallon every bit helps.

I installed the banks cold air intake with the super scoop at the same time I installed the banks automind programmer on my 2005 gmc duramax and I love it. I gained almost 4 mpg on the highway I'm getting right at 21 mpg avg. highway mileage. SCARY power.... Haven't been on a dyno.... But I have power to spare. Couldn't ask for more!

Installed the intake portion in about 20 Minutes. Spent a little longer installing the Super Scoop. It took a total of about 90 Minutes from start to finish. I noticed the difference right away. When you put your foot down the truck goes. I have been keeping an eye on the computer also. I think I'm gonna see about 2 mpg more. Yes, I would buy this again. Yes, I would recommend the Intake and Super Scoop to everyone.

My wife bought the ram intake for me for Christmas. What a great surprise; easy to install & looks and sounds good under the hood. Can't wait to get the exhaust system next.

I am waiting for the "ah ha" moment, but I will say that acceleration is definitely better for my 2005 Sierra 2500HD. I was expecting better fuel economy with new exhaust and ram air, but I have not seen that as yet.

This air intake system dropped fixed the lack of airflow that I was having while running a chip. The power gain is great; no more smoke. The scoop is huge and looks like it will last forever.
