Was missing the 2 bolts for the egr block off plate. Otherwise was not that hard to install. A definite increase in power as now the toyosdrs will squeal in second. lol Used LS 6 intake for the same price and this intake reviewed better and I would agree is worth the money.

Went on good no fitment or leak issues. It actually made a change in the exhaust note. I can't say performance wise it made a big difference.

I look at getting a used LS6 manifold to go along with my heads and cam installation but could not find one for less money than I payed for this manifold and supposedly this will outflow a LS6 manifold. Yes I know that the FAST outflows them all but I don't have a grand to lay out for the FAST plus I personally like the look of the BBK. I thought the hardware included was not very good automotive grade quality. As for the heat soak issue and weight issue, I don't drag race much, maybe go to the track 6 times a year just for fun.

I choose this manifold mostly for the appearance, but also because of the potential it will have for porting and installing NOS nozzles. The weight and heat transfer were initial issues of mine, but the weight is minimal, and the fact that the aluminum conducts heat is a non-issue. The install was the exteremely easy and took only about an hour, much better than Gen 1 small blocks. I did also choose BBK because it uses OEM gaskets which makes for easier maintainence down the road. The only cons I would list are not very significant. It did have a very very minor cast flaw, which was a small amount of aluminum at the opening of the runner and will be easily ground off (I installed without grinding it off as it is extrememly small and will be porting later on). Secondly, and this is not an actual issue with the intake, but I find it odd that BBK does not offer an 85mm throttle body to match the intake for Corvette applications. Overall, I would say this is a great buy and have no real complaints. IT looks GREAT too.
