Spectre Cold Air Intake Part #9907 Customer Reviews

fairly simple to install. directions were a little dark and hard to see, a little common sense will get you there. I did have to grind the unit down so the hood would close

First let me say that Auto Anything is a great company to work with I called my order; the CSR was very helpful. My order arrived in two days, nicely packed and with a follow up to make sure that I received it on time. The air intake is a great product! This was for my G8 GT 6.0 liter; the install was simple, took only 30 min. The product looks, performs and sounds great in fact I went drag racing and took first place in my bracket. I had a friend purchase one for his truck the next week.

I'm not sure if it's widely known but Spectre is owned and manufactured by K&N. This intake is essentially a clone of their 69-series which I had on my 2010 Camaro SS and loved it. Same with this one. Pretty easy to install, looks great and functions well. A great value for the price.

Looks and sounds great. Directions are very hard to read and parts changed but the directions show the old parts. They need to update these directions showing the parts they ship you.

I bought the spectre cold air intake for my Pontiac G8 and it was well worth the price. It was easy to install, looks great and performs better than expected. It gives my engine a nice deep growl and I have noticed an increase in mpg, I'm so glad I brought this.

Horrible instructions. Diffrent parts then shown in instructions. Didn't send all parts either. Missing a bracket for the heat shield. Even though it sucked to install, it sounds Baddasss. Improved mpg about 2 and around 13 HP

I was in the market for a CAI for my G8 GT and for the price I gave it a shot and it was well wort it . Performance wise the throttle response ,power and acceleration are improved. My mpg is up as well but I'm not sure how much cause I love the sound it makes at wot so much I can't keep my foot off the go pedal. Under normal conditions u can not tell its there. The only thing I didn't like were the instructions and parts list. They were close but inaccurate. All in all I'm satisfied.

Not bad for the price. Mine had some issues though: the rubber seal around the heatshield had to be removed in order to close the hood. It's not as pictured on the box, plain couplers no Spectre logo. Also on mine they printed the spectre logo on the airfilter upside-down. Performance is on par with K&N not rotofab or vararam. Decent intake, but I wouldn't pay more than 150 bucks for it.
