Taylor Cable Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer Part #57049 Customer Reviews

The unit installed easily enough in about 10 minutes and it looks like its of good quality . I drove south of Atlanta which is about 148 miles with the cruise set at 65 mph and to my surprise the computer readings were 24.5 mpg . that made me extremely happy . Once there i installed an Airaid cold air system on the truck and on my return trip home my readings dropped 2 mpg to 22.5 or so . The engine has a pleasant throaty sound due to the cold air kit . I cant really tell a noticeable horsepower increase but that will change with a chip and a catback system . However i would like to gain that 2 mpg back if not more .

Don't waste you money on this thing. I put it on my 2011 Dodge Ram 5.7 and it made no difference at all except for an annoying whistle. People who rode in my truck questioned what was wrong with it, it sounded like a belt whine. Terrible. I used it with my K&N Intake and Magnaflow exhaust and was un-impressed with it. I even thought it degraded performance during acceleration. I used it for a week and took it off. Now I feel like a dolt with an $80 piece of cut aluminum in a box. Not heavy enough to make a good paper weight either.
