Installed this intake on my 2016 Dodge RAM 1500 Blackout edition. Since the Truck is a all black'ed out...this Air Intake especially when well when you lift the hood. But more important to me was the fit, quality and performance and I was very please with the selection of the K&N Blackhawk series. The metal intake tube is a nice quality feature. Took about 1/2 hour of setup on the bench. Then 1/2 hr to install. Sound and performance are improved.

Love the growl added to my ram 1500 after installing the black hawk. Good quality. One disappointment is the filter housing does not completely seal the filter from engine bay. So pulling in warmer air because not completely sealed to intake from front fender area. MPG yet to be verified. Up coming trip will answer that question.

This air intake system has a great sound and is what I expected. I didn't buy it for the HP increase as 7 HP would never be felt with the 5.7 hemi. The 4 star rating is for the installation. In my 2016 RAM 1500 the hose (item H) that is required to be used between the two pieces of crankcase vent hose assembly steps 7-9 does not fit on the vent hose. It is 5/8 in and needs to be 3/4 in. I have seen this documented in other reviews. I purchased a 3/4 in. hose and completed the assembly.

Great looking cold air intake - but I love the roar that my 5.7 Hemi RAM truck makes now with the K&N. The install steps look a little intimidating, but just took the time to read the steps and double check that you're using the right screws and washers when you install them. Well worth the $$$.$$ - Thank you Auto Anything!!

You really need to get on it to hear it otherwise its pretty quiet. Since it wasn't as loud as I hoped I ordered a muffler to help achieve what I was really after. Install was easy. Would give 3.5 stars as I don't think its worth 4 but nonetheless I'd buy again as it does sound pretty good when you get on it.

I researched and spoke with many truck owners and mechanics and it came down to basically the manufacturer and it's reputation. K&N is well known and well respected, the fact that they offered a "Dry" filter and it is good for 100k miles makes it even better. Looks: This is a beautiful beast. Performance: This thing turns heads, the sound is guttural, and I picked up 1.5 MPG in the city using 87 gas, I have since added 89.

Went on fairly easy, and makes the engine sound great. Only reason it got a 4 instead of a 5 was the fact that you have to cut the crankcase vent. I figured they would have included a flex hose or something rather than having to cut.
