"This AFE intake is a great buy and I would recommend it to someone looking to BEGIN modifying their car. The intake dresses up the engine nicely, has a nice sound to it and is very easy to install. Performance wise, I think my car is a little slower in lower RPMs (1000-3500rpm) but faster in the 3500-6000 rpm range. I would recommend buying a software upgrade to compliment this intake" —Brad P from North Andover, MA bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 1996 BMW 3-Series, 328i, 2.8L 6 cyl. engine.
"I'm not sure who did the installation instructions but they need to be a bit more detailed, if I was not familiar with intake systems I would have had some problems installing this unit . Also the hole on the bottom of the heat shield was not in the right location to easily install, I had to enlarge the hole to fit over the stud, there was also some interference from the upper radiator hose it seemed like the heat shield was not bent correctly to easily clear the hose, I managed to get it installed and it works great looks good and I'm pleased with it, I just think maybe you need to have one of you engineers install one of these units on BMW so he can see where the small problems are other than that it's a great product..." —Theron B from Fair Oaks, CA bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 1996 BMW 3-Series, 328i, 2.8L 6 cyl. engine.
