"Easy to install for someone who has never done any kind of auto work before. Overall sounds kinda nice... Not sure if gives you the 9 extra horses it claims, but honestly would anyone really know the difference? Whatever, if you want to - go for it, but don't expect your 325 to turn into a porsche for 2 bills (surprised?)..." —Jeff G from Belleville, NJ bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 BMW 3-Series, 325i.
"It was as advertised I just did not realize how many steps involved in putting on the car but the instructions were great.Overall I'm very satisfied with the system. Thank you Kent" —Kent B from Olympia, WA bought a K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems for a 2005 BMW 3-Series, M3.
"The installation process was not as easy as i would have liked. No fault to K&n. It was just some parts that were hard to get into. The sound is great. It reminds me a little bit of the old vw VR6 sound in the 98 models.
Noticing horsepower is a bit flaky with filters in my opinion and i don't really do a dyno more than once a year so i wont know.
all in all, pleased with the product and general process of ordering from you guys." —Juan Carlos R from Houston, TX bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 BMW 3-Series, 330i.
"I recently installed an aFe Stage II Cold Air Intake on my 2005 BMW M3.
Pros: EXCELLENT (factory quality) Fit & Finish, Easy Installation, Attractive, Great Sound, Notable improvement in throttle response, "Butt Dyno" says more HP - but I have not verified this
Cons: hmm, maybe price? I'm stretching here, it's a great product.
In the 15+ years I have been messing around with cars (including 10 years as a professional in high performance automotive) I believe this is one of the best fitting aftermarket parts I've ever installed." —Eric R from Marietta, GA bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 BMW 3-Series, M3, 3.2L 6-cyl. engine.
"Overall, very good cold air intake system. In my M#, install took a bit, but not too difficult. Instructions were pretty spot on. Some angles to get in and tighten and fit were a pain. Instead of a metal heat shield, I would prefer to have a composite heat shield so air stays cooler even when engine is at temp. I would pay for another composite heat shield if they offered it." —Dave N from Colorado Springs, CO bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 BMW 3-Series, M3.
"Product performed as expected. The intake elbow seemed to be rubbing the wires underneath. May cause an issue over time but seems to be ok." —Stephen M from Miramar, FL bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 BMW 3-Series, M3, 3.2L 6-cyl. engine.
