"I could not be happier with this addition to my vehicle. I feel like the throttle has a slightly deeper tone. Haven't noticed too much in the way of mpg savings tho... Overall recommend highly!" —Mica K from Alma, MI bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L V6.
"I read the reviews for this product before I ordered it, and sure enough, the reviews were right on. I am getting false computer readings quite often. I went to the Cadillac garage and asked them how to reset the computer and they said that there is no reset button and I would have to bring it in so they could hook it up to their computer to reset. That's not going to happen so I guess I'll keep the darn thing on until I get tired of seeing the lights lite up on the dashboard.
Dr. Delo " —Delo L from Omaha, NE bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2004 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L V6.
"I have had K&N intakes in the past, but have not really felt a power difference after the install. The Volant CAI gave me a noticable increase of hourse power. I have a 2004 Cadillac CTS-V (400hp stock) and I was sceptical at first beacause adding 18hp did not seem like much. However, not only did I get an increase in HP but my fuel mileage has also increased." —Eric G from Los Angeles, CA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS.
"This is the third vehicle I have used a K&N intake kit on. Easy to install and good bang-for-the-buck horsepower(14.24 for my car). Made the engine growl a little more too." —Christopher A from Marstons Mills, MA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2004 Cadillac CTS.
"This product was worth the money, I put one of these on my 04 Cadillac CTS. Putting it in was a little pain but the results were worth it, I gained 2 mpg and 10 Hp." —Tyler C from Huntington, IN bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L V6.
"The system is really nicly produced, but installation was a BITCH, i ahd to go to the auto parts store to buy different size hose clamps because the ones sent with the intake were to small, also it was really hard to force certain parts into the engine comparment. But in the end it has a great sound and deffintly produces a bit more HP. Also what ive found is that the throttle is MUCH more responsive, at least more so then stock. Overall i would suggest this part for anyone with a CTS." —Alex G from Tequesta, FL bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L V6.
"I love the new throaty sound at high RPMs and the fact that at normal driving speeds the filter isn't any loader. I would definitely recommend this to my friends." —Randy S from Blaine, MN bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2004 Cadillac CTS.
"I chose the Volant over K&N mainly because the enclosed box will give your filter good separation from the engine compartment. For peace of mind, cut a piece of thick paper or rubber gasket to put between the donut and inside the box. Replace the 3/4" 1/4 20 bolts they give you with 1" 1/4 20's to secure the MAS. Assemble the filter box to the end of the hump hose. At the throttle body, position the air duct so that the right end points below the hump hose coupling as you insert the left end into the sleeve. It's easier to twist the duct upward and into the coupling. Overall, 4 out of 5 for installation, performance and sound." —Dave W from Stillwater, NY bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS.
"Have not noticed any big change. Creates a little louder sound especially when under a load. No gas milage change either way or at least not a noticable one. Install was not to bad. A little mod needed to the tube going into my 04 CTS" —Scott O from Prairie Du Sac, WI bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L V6.
"Clean and easy modification. Looks good installed. Made well. I like the touch of extra intake sound, wouldn't mind more actually. I have no doubt it does what it claims to do with power and economy. I didn't expect to notice any huge gains, and I didn't. I've seen enough test results and dynos to know the claims are valid. As I've experienced in the past, AutoEverything once again showed how EXCELLENCE can be defined in a purchasing process ." —Rick B from Sarasota, FL bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L V6.
"Other reviews I had read warned of no installation instructions, only a parts list, so I downloaded and used the Volant installation instructions from Cadillacowners.com. Excellent write up there. Despite the description, I found the intake to be a struggle to install. A tip I will give is that all clamps should be put on and snugged up last. The tolerances are very tight and you need to be very careful installing everything to make sure you don't scar or damage the individual Volant components.
Once everything is on, the finished product looks beautiful and performs well. I would do it again anytime, but I highly recommend downloading the installation tips first and following the suggestions to make the installation go a lot smoother. Overall, I would rate the experience an 8 out of 10." —James L from Carson, CA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2004 Cadillac CTS, 3.6L V6.
