Must have if getting a CAI

Reviewed By Travis L (LINCOLN, NE) Reviewed for a 2012 Chevy Avalanche —1/23/2017 9:28 AM

Prior to getting this cold air intake kit & performance exhaust. The truck still seemed a bit sluggish. After adding this, made a huge difference! hit the gas & she goes! Don't notice the whistle hardly at all. Easy install, but watch the video 1st...the instructions were a little vague in illustrating proper direction/flow. Truly a must have to get the full potential from a cold air kit!

Glad I bought it!

After totaling a Sierra with flowmasters, I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a good sound out of another pickup without big bucks. Love this intake. No in cab droning, but a mean sound when you punch the accelerator, and it doesn't hesitate to hit those high RPMS quick. Glad I bought it. Good bang for buck. Took me about 45-quick paced minutes to install.

Overall Pleased

Reviewed By Richard C (Harrisburg, PA) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy Avalanche —6/29/2012 7:09 AM

I have had it installed for just over a week now and I definitely can tell the improved throttle response. I haven't seen any improved MPG. As for horsepower, I have this installed with the aFe cold air intake and overall I feel more horsepower, but not sure which item really provided the additional horsepower. I purchased because I wanted more power for towing and better MPG. The better MPG is yet to be realized, but I would still recommend to others given the relatively low cost and increased horsepower.
