K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (50-State Legal) Reviews

Awesome product!

I installed the CAI kit on my 2004 Nissan XTerra, with the non-supercharged 3.3 engine. It has always been a little underpowered, but this system really woke it up, producing very noticeable throttle response and a nice sound when stepping on the gas. Haven't measured the gas milleage to see if there is any improvement, but hey, it's an XTerra.....gas mileage is never going to be good. I highly recommend this product and autoanything.com!

BBK Intake Manifolds Reviews

BBK Manifold 2001 LS1 Corvette

Reviewed By Sean E M (Troy, IL) Reviewed for a 2001 Chevy Corvette —11/3/2010 7:27 AM

I choose this manifold mostly for the appearance, but also because of the potential it will have for porting and installing NOS nozzles. The weight and heat transfer were initial issues of mine, but the weight is minimal, and the fact that the aluminum conducts heat is a non-issue. The install was the exteremely easy and took only about an hour, much better than Gen 1 small blocks. I did also choose BBK because it uses OEM gaskets which makes for easier maintainence down the road. The only cons I would list are not very significant. It did have a very very minor cast flaw, which was a small amount of aluminum at the opening of the runner and will be easily ground off (I installed without grinding it off as it is extrememly small and will be porting later on). Secondly, and this is not an actual issue with the intake, but I find it odd that BBK does not offer an 85mm throttle body to match the intake for Corvette applications. Overall, I would say this is a great buy and have no real complaints. IT looks GREAT too.

K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit Reviews

Good power gains, easy to install

Reviewed By James M (New Haven, MI) Reviewed for a 2001 Chevy Corvette —1/6/2009 8:53 PM

Took about an hour total to remove the stock intake and install the K&N 63 cold air intake. Immediate power gains, especially in the upper rev range. I love the deep throaty roar at full throttle, and there's no drone at steady cruising. I've got K&N filters and intakes in all my cars and the truck's the newest addition to the K&N family.
