"The FIPK for my application (2002 Corvette) arrived in good shape because of excellent packaging. At first glance, all components seemed to be present; however, one of the six hose clamps was the wrong size. And hose clamps are my biggest complaint: they are abundant and ugly. None of the catalog photos shows their screw-drive devices. It is impossible to install the FIPK without them showing. And the installation itself threw me a few curves. For example, one cannot demount the OE airbox according the instructions provided. It must be pried from its mounting points; no amount of "pulling it toward the engine" will disengage it. Similarly, "pulling firmly to release the lower radiator cover" results in broken connectors. Finally, the air hose "mender" did not fit tightly into the existing air injection vent hose, requiring a seventh ugly hose clamp. Argh!" —Bren B from Clemmons, NC bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2002 Chevy Corvette, Base.
"Good bang for your buck. Improved throttle response. Easy to install and looks real clean" —Stephen S from Menomonee Falls, WI bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2002 Chevy Corvette, 5.7L V8.
"Since I purchased this K&N cold air induction system during the winter months, I opted to have it installed at a local speed shop garage. It took them about an hour to install it. Since driving the Corvette with the new intake system, I have found that there is a noticeable difference in performance and acceleration.
