AEM DryFlow Cold Air Intake Replacement Filters Reviews

Doesn't need oil

Reviewed By Eric C (Mount Prospect, IL) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Equinox —7/31/2012 8:07 PM

I bought one of these filters to replace the old worn out oiled K&N Filter that was 1 1/2 years old. I wanted a filter without oil. oily filters sometimes foul out the mass air sensor. So I did some research and came across this AEM. The dimensions were similar to the K&N; a little shorter but lighter because it doesn't have oil. If you want a filter without the oily residue; you need to buy an AEM Filter for your ride.

well built

The kit I got only came with the tubing. No connectors. After I cut all the pieces I needed. I found out that it wouldn't fit under my hood on my Suburban with the 8.1L. The throttle body faces upward. But the quality of the parts are great!!

Just what the doctor ordered

I was in need of something to protect my air filter from getting soaked. My intercooler setup places the filter at the bottom of fender behind the fog light, exposed. This adds a nice, low cost barrier from moisture and is super easy to install. Gives me a warm fuzzy if i get caught in unexpected showers to and from the track.
