Noticeable changes

Reviewed By Jacob A (Goose Creek, SC) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Impala —11/27/2011 2:21 PM

I installed this on my 2002 Chevy Impala LS along with the Hypertech chip. I have installed 3rd party intakes in the past, and none sound as good as the K&N. There is a very noticeable deeper grunt when the gas pedal is floored. I stomped down on it driving down the road at 40, which is the very bottom of my extremely tall second gear, and the noise that came from under the hood (at approx. 2500 RPM) was exhilirating. I'm satisfied overall with the install, but I think it's a bit pricey. Will continue to buy K&N but jeez I wish they'd drop the price some.

Not sure if it was worth the money but...

...I'm enjoying my purchase and still consider it worth it if you have other mods for this part to work with. I do not notice much of a difference in power although it helps my car's engine to run smoother
