Love the New K&N 57 Air Intake

I originally had an AEM cold air intake, but that setup had utilized the old Vortec box that connected to the throttle body. Well the metal clamp broke off and the Vortec box was just sitting on there not clamped down, and GM no longer makes that part, so I had no choice but to shop around and found that the K&N 57 Air Intake connected directly to the throttle body on top of the engine of my 1999 Chevy Suburban. Just came back from a 3000 mile road trip and it performed excellently.

Works great.

Besides having to open up two of the four mounting holes, didn't quite line up to the factory, love it. Can tell the difference in throttle response and adds a throaty sound when you stand on it. Too early to tell on gas mileage.

Not bad for the price

Reviewed By Nicholas S (Woodbury, MN) Reviewed for a 2007 Chevy Suburban —7/11/2013 8:41 PM

Not too bad for the price. Don't rely solely on the pictures in the instructions, as they showed the MAF sensor installed backwards. Fit was not perfect, I had to trim some of the metal housing in order to install it. I had to force things a little as things did not align perfect. I didn't notice a difference in MPG. Seems to be a slight increase in throttle response & maybe less turbo lag. I do enjoy the sound increase, much deeper growl, it sounds great with the windows down. No regrets.
