Sounds good added better throttle response and improvement on gas mileage by 1.5/2.0 miles a gallon if you aren't hot rod it. Over all I'm happy with it so far

Love the K&N

This was my first time buying a CAI, but have had K&N filters in my other vehicles. Installation was very easy and the instructions were clear. It cleans up the engine compartment quite a bit over the factory intake. I love the sound you now hear under heavy acceleration and it's not noticeable under normal driving conditions, which is nice. I haven't check to see if there was an MPG increase or not. Overall very satisfied!

2003 Chevy Suburban 2500 2WD, otherwise totally stock

Reviewed By Ben R (Granada Hills, CA) Reviewed for a 2003 Chevy Suburban —8/12/2009 4:26 PM

It doesn't feel like I have more power, but it does seem to come on smoother and there are no dead spots in the throttle. I'm not seeing any mpg improvement but my regular commute is in LA traffic either under 30mph or over 70mph, not exactly the gas mileage sweet spot on this truck. The stock intake tube has two HUGE sound-reduction chambers, so I do not doubt manufacturer claims that it flows much more air than stock. Unfortunately most of my driving conditions don't take advantage of that. I imagine much greater gains are possible when compounded with a programmer and/or exhaust upgrades. Installation instructions were clear, easy to follow, and the product fit and finish is better than stock. No complaints.
