"The unit sounds great when the throttle is floored. MPG increase is 1 mpg roughly on the hwy. Looks better than stock but had issues fitting it within the firewall. Just a hair too long." —Chris A from Caldwell, ID bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe.
"The AEM Brute Force was very easy to install, less than an hour. The quality of the kit is good and the instructions were easy to follow. I like the deep bass tone when accelerating. Makes the Magnaflow mufflers sound more deeper. Slight improvements in torque and hp. Haven't notice any improvement in gas mileage. Bottom line, I like it." —Gil N from San Bruno, CA bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, 5.3L V8.
"one of the easiest intakes i have ever installed. fitment was perfect and direction were clear and concise. I would highly recommend this intake if you are thinking about adding some HP to your vehicle as well as better MPG." —Craig M from Galloway, NJ bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, 5.3L V8.
"Easy 20 minute install and immediate results. Jury is still out on better fuel milage, but the ho has a bit more pep to her step now. The obnoxiously large factory unit is gone which helps with underhood inspections.
Wife actually noticed the performance difference too. Very pleased!!!" —Brian J S from Carlsbad, NM bought an Airaid Modular Intake Tube for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe.
"Easy to install and gives a slightly throatier sound. Overall a nice product." —Nathan P from Cedar Springs, MI bought an Airaid Modular Intake Tube for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe.
"Install is easy, took about 5 min to do. At first glance after install the aluminum looks good under the hood. I'm eager to see how the dry flow filter will hold up, but it should filter better than K&N or other brands and let air in good. For those who don't know, hold a K&N type brand up to the light and see how much crap is passing through lol. I say AEM price for design is way better than others 300 to 400 for plastic and metal? AutoAnything is the lowest price I could find without going through a distributor myself, "hassle". GREAT Company! Will order from A.A. again. The Sound it makes when giving it gas is nice! you can hear the whistle of the vortec intake more but I recommend to reprogram the computer though to get the optimal performance. Works real well when you upgrade the injectors which is my next plan." —Keith R from Walhalla, SC bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, 5.3L V8.
"I haven't installed any other Air Intake systems on my vehicle, so I can't compare it to other brands. However, aFe has grabbed my attention for quite some time now. So I purchased the Cold Air Intake for my 05 Tahoe. Quick and easy installation (self installed) The sound of it is absolutely addicting! Compared to the sound of the stock air box and filter (silence) The aFe intake sounds wonderful, very aggressive growl when accelerating. AutoAnything has amazing prices, shipping is on time, and the products are high in quality, not one of those rip off sites with tons of gimmicks. Overall, very very pleased with my purchase. I will be continuing my business with AA." —Wesley H from Adamsville, TN bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, 5.3L V8.
"Install took about 20min, getting old stock intake off and the connections on the new pipe and getting to fit. Will have to loosen bands all the way out to fit on box and carb, these have a tight fit "which is good". Overall simple, when accelerating you will get a deep throttle hum "carb breathing". Your stock had sound dampening in design which cut back on this, i found it sounds throaty and nice! Get a MAF and you'll be set. Craftmenship on this intake seems good and plastic is thick "due time will tell". I have had K&N intakes and have plastic crack during temp changes or at certain connection points. AIRAID seems to be a good choice for getting more air, keeping factory box "cold air better" and looking stylish. Would buy from autoanything.com again also, good service!!!!" —Keith R from Walhalla, SC bought an Airaid Jr. Kits for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe.
"I have only had this on the vehicle for a week and highly recommended it. I like the fact it opens the engine up now that I don't have the stock intake on the vehicle." —Dustin Z from Leander, TX bought an Airaid Modular Intake Tube for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe.
"The acceleration has improved! noticeably sounds Wicked!! but the gas millage has not changed as far as i can tell, although i am flooring it more often just to hear it! i have been driving it normal for about two weeks so we'll see if the gas millage goes up..Over all though i love it!" —Sal T from Waterford, MI bought a K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, 5.3L V8.
""I saw an instant gain in power and throttle response. I like the way it sounds now."" —Jason B from Eielson Afb, AK bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, 5.3L V8.
