Great as always

Great feel, great sound. Barely there at idle, roars like a freight train at wide open throttle.

sounds great - easy install

Reviewed By Flint D (Round Rock, TX) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Avalanche —12/22/2014 3:09 PM

Very nice addition to my old Avalanche. Sound is great and seems to add power with more take off - wish I would have measured 0-60 before and after and see if could tell a difference. Install straight forward - took about an hour - hardest part for me was getting O2 sensor loose and then the rubber part around the cold air intake had messed up clip that I thought had to repair - turns out there is extra anyway so ended up cutting it off. Easy DIY job and looks great and sounds excellent!

2005 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7L AEM intake

Reviewed By Erik L (KATY, TX) Reviewed for a 2005 Dodge Ram —12/17/2014 4:18 PM

Installation took about 4 hours on my 05 Ram 4.7L because I'm not too mechanically experienced & had trouble installing the IAT & rubber grommet in the tube. Removal & installation used a 9mm, 10mm, 13mm and 5/16" sockets along with a flathead screwdriver & an extra pair of hands at one point to install the filter. I did NOT use jack/jackstands. Idk about mileage, but throttle response has definitely improved and it roars really nice around 2.5K+ RPMs.
