K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit Reviews

K&N great product as always

Reviewed By Mark M (ELKO, NV) Reviewed for a 2016 Dodge Ram —8/24/2016 8:08 AM

I installed in 2016 Ram 1500 with EcoDiesel engine. Intake tubing does not follow original which makes install a little difficult to get everything lined up. Snapping the new intake box to the original bottom intake box portion was very difficult for one location. I haven't driven enough since installation to see if there is an increase in fuel mileage, but throttle response has been better. Other than a few challenges with installation, K&N makes a great product and I am very pleased.

Good Product

Had a major issue trying to get sensor into tube with their grommet. I was afraid I was going to break sensor. Photos in directions could have been a little larger. Would have been nice to have a pre-bent breather tube. Directions say to cut at 11". You have to cut it just right or you get kinks in the tube.

2003 Dakota 4.7 L V8 with Automatic Tranny

Reviewed By Duane C (KIRKLAND, WA) Reviewed for a 2003 Dodge Dakota —8/18/2016 1:11 AM

MPG- loss 13 down to 12.7 with new large MagnaFlow muffler. I did have a manifold leak at the time. IDK if that matters. I think MPG will improve when I get a tune-up and install an in-line performance module. I may need a more efficient fuel pump or injectors, we'll see. Performance- Nice little HP and torque boost, probably close to "as advertised". RPMs- more of em' & higher faster & more freely. Fewer RPMs at cruising speed. RPMs stay lower longer with a light foot. Shifts like a kitten.
