"When I first received my K&N 77 for my 2006 Dakota, I took the time to assemble it prior to installing it my truck. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to fully assemble. The instructions that were provided were pretty good and east to follow. When it came to actully installing it in my truck, it was a very exact tight fit. The only problem I encountered was on the clamp that was provided to fit on the throttle body require a longer screw (2") that was provided, but was a metric thread, instead of the 8/32" x 2" that would allow the clamp to fit. After a quick trip to the local HomeDepot I was able to clamp on the system and feel the "Instant throttle response". When you first step on the gas it is so smooth and you hear the engine respond. On the dyno chart that is sent with the system, it says that for my engine (3.7L), I could expect a 6 h.p. increase , which is good for me. I have not had a chance to check the gas mileage, but I'm sure it will be a slight increase. Even one mile per gallon would be good enough with the fuel costs nowadays. I would definitly recommend this to anyone, plus it looks really nice. RJ Geeman" —Roland G from Torrance, CA bought a K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit for a 2006 Dodge Dakota.

"Very simple to instal. The only problem was that the wrong size flex boot was in the kit. I called them and in about three days the right one was at my door. Not sure what bracket people in other reviews say they had to bend. There was no such bracket on mine. It takes longer to remove the old intake than it does to put the Spectre on. Its not quiet but it sure sounds mean." —David S from La Porte, TX bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2006 Dodge Dakota, 5.7L Hemi.
