"amazing intake. Its massive and gives your car a beautiful growl when you accelerate!. my mpgs went up 2.6 mpgs my car feels lighter and more responsive. im averaging around 18.5 mpgs on the freeway which is pretty good for a 2001 dodge durango with a v8 so im very happy. good buy would recommend to anyone. and once again thanks autoanything for the fast delivery came the next day after it shipped!." —Mickey D from Simi Valley, CA bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2001 Dodge Durango, 4.7L V8.
"Well I have a 2001 Durango w/ over 168K miles. I was pricing cold air intakes and found this aFe brand at AutoAnything was the cheapest and had the biggest power gains. It was easy very to IM customer service when I had questions. Ordering the item was easy and easily to track down the status. I liked the quality of parts and pictures on instructions but one "secret" that SHOULD BE A NOTE in the installation is to keep the same mounting position of the hood hinge when you use the transmission computer bracket. I just started to be a DIYer on my truck and didn't think about the position of the bolts for the hood but finally figured it out. Looked in the instructions and nothing. So had I known about that one thing it would have been installed within an hour. I drove the truck once complete and instantly noticed a difference in get up and how my RPM's are lower than normal. I aslo figured a slight increase in MPG. Lastly I told everyone about it the next day at work and said it's worth the money and effort to purchase a cold air intake!" —Frank M from El Paso, TX bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2001 Dodge Durango, 4.7L V8.
"This was a replacement of the same intake I put on the durango 6 years ago, Very pleased with it's performance.
The old one's sleave to the intake itself dry rotted after 6 years,it was made of hard rubber. the new system has a urathane style sleave which seems to have fixed that issue.
The main tube on the new one had an additional hole near the intake end that is not needed, so I reused the old tube
The bottom mounting screw was also too long for the shallow threading, so I used the old one which worked fine.
All in all a very good product for the Price." —Raymond P from Lolo , MT bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2001 Dodge Durango, 4.7L V8.
"After installing the air intake system in my car, I have noticed an increase in horse power, which was the primary purpose for purchase. The directions were easy to follow and it made the installation simple. I also purchased the flow master series 2 exhaust kit and combined they have added horsepower and better gas mileage.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the intake system." —Justin S from Seattle, WA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2001 Dodge Durango.
"Great product. Easy to install. Average MPG went up 3 MPG! Seems to have a broader power band too.
Thank you." —Chris B from Traverse City, MI bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2001 Dodge Durango.
"Installed on my 2001 Durango, 4.7 v8. Istallation was easy however instructions were wrong. Sounds great, really does but not much performance change. Noticed a very slight gain in MPG on last road trip. Price is way too much just to make youe engine sound better, my opinion anyways. If you're thinking about purchasing the TBS also, don't! Haven't noticed any change with that except for the most annoying high pitched whistle" —Mark M from Mount Pleasant, SC bought an Airaid Intake System for a 2001 Dodge Durango.
"I have ordered and added a few items from autoanything.com; BBK throttle body, K&N Cold Air Intake, JBA Shorty headers and CAT Back exhaust, JBA high performance plug wires, Pulstar Performance spark plugs, a JET Performance Chip and an 16" electric fan to remove the fan and fan clutch assembly. Although I have yet to install the electric fan, the combination of performance parts have really made a night and day difference with my 2001 Dodge Durango 5.9. It is quicker from a stand still, hitting the passing lane on the highway with ease, and sounds great at any speed! I would recommend any of these parts for anyone who is looking for a little more out of their vehicle." —Joel S from Toledo, OH bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2001 Dodge Durango.

"THE K&N FIPK AIR INTAKE FIT JUST THE WAY YOU SAID IT WOULD ONLY TOOK ABOUT 45 MIN TO. MY MPG WENT UP SOME WITH THE FIRST TANK OF GAS SHOULD DO BETTER IF I CAN KEEP MY FOOT OFF THE FLOOR WITH THE IMPROVEMENT IN HORSE POWER." —Robert C from Brooklyn, NY bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2001 Dodge Durango, 4.7L V8.
