"'98 DODGE 1500 4X4, 5.2L, 318
Excellent performance increases of about 4 mpg & increased power at take-offs, pulling tlr, passing & hill climbs in MO!!
Difficult to install, needed to drill out 6 box holes for assembly & mounting to line-up! Have Spacer on Full Injection Carb that makes breather cover VERY tight!! Instructions NOT very clear! Adjustments needed are NOT difficult!
LOOKS GR-8!! YES, would recommend!!
STONEMAN" —Stoney O from Stover, MO bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 1998 Dodge Ram, 5.2L V8.
"This intake dreamticly decreased my turbo lag! Now when i take off from a start my turbo spools sooo much faster! The turbo is louder now which is awsome but I could see being a little anoying on road trips with the family, but oh well! Only issue I had is I had to enlarge the clearance hole for the shock tower bolt to fit my truck. Also, the intake tube is so big that it is touching my alternator positive lead wire and I might have to relocate my trans dipstick in the future for better access." —Nick S from Newton, KS bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 1998 Dodge Ram, 5.9L Cummins.
"Installation was easy and fast. All parts lined up great. I get 2.3 miles to a gallon more when i drive 513 miles to work every fourth week, that is when i drive the speed limit. I have more pulling power when i pull my boat in the hills of Arkansas. And i will tell everyone i know about it. GREAT PRODUCT" —Marty H from Greenbrier, AR bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 1998 Dodge Ram, 5.2L V8.
"This took about an hour to install and works like a charm. The instructions could have been a bit more specific for my year vehicle, but otherwise it was fairly easy. I noticed an immediate difference in performace. The truck runs alot smoother and the response has increased greatly. Some people complained that it makes a lot of noise, but I only notice it when I accelerate heavily. I think it's a great noise. I have yet to fill up so I don't know if my gas mileage has increased. I'm very happy with it, though!" —Anthony H from Sun City, AZ bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1998 Dodge Ram.
"Search long and hard for a CAI.
This is the Dog. Makes the turbo wine loader and throttle response is much better. I have a 98 Dodge Ram 4x4 Cummins with 150,000 miles." —Ronald D from Crossville, TN bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 1998 Dodge Ram.
"Although i haven't been able to go thorough it all the way, i can tell as soon as it was put on, i was in the back of my seat. The sound was beautiful. Along with that i'm going to see how i last on gas for the week. Seein that usually how long my truck last, dodge ram 1500. between running around college and work, it's always a pain to drop that 40 to 60 bucks a week on a half tank of gas, so if i make it to sunday of next week then i'm a believer." —Richard H from Lynn, MA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1998 Dodge Ram.
"this product is a great buy, its even better with my 3" exhaust throttle body spacer and a jet performance chip. all together about 70 more horses dynoed" —Mackenzie C from Grand Junction, CO bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 1998 Dodge Ram.
