Not sure which 2002 Ford Explorer Cold Air Intakes are right for you? We have over 18563 customer reviews, with an average rating of 4.5, to help you find exactly what you're looking for. Here's what some of our customers have said:
"All in all a good intake but instructions could have been better. Rubber grommit on small hose coming into the intake, was a choir to get right. Also had issues getting short rubber spacers to get onto intake. Other tham that it seems to be a good intake." —Kevin M from Alpena, MI bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2002 Ford Explorer, XLT, 4.0L V6.
"IT IS EVERY THING SAID ABOUT IT. A LITTLE LOUDER THAN I LIKE BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY.." —Phillip F from Herndon, VA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2002 Ford Explorer.
"I own a 2002 ford explorer, and this intake so far is great. At first it didn't look like it would fit but once you take out the old parts and replace them with this intake it fits snug. There is certainly low growl the engine makes now which is nice. But also my gas mileage went up to an extra 2 miles every gallon. When I first pulled out of the driveway i gave it a little gas an it jumped, so it is obvious this makes a difference in acceleration. If you own an explorer I would recomend this." —Kely A from Sarasota, FL bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2002 Ford Explorer.
"haven't been on a trip yet,but noticed more pep around town. easy starts.ran k&n reg filter before, this is much better." —Buddy T from South Charleston, WV bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2002 Ford Explorer.
"I have used several CAI and this one is one of the best being closed off from engine heat makes it a better intake. Instructions could be better(I am a mechanic so it was not difficult for me)
Have not noticed any MPG improvements as I have not tested yet. Does sound better, and has a little more getup and go" —Michael S from Dover, PA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2002 Ford Explorer, XLS, 4.0L V6.
"It is a great product. Improved gas mileage and a little more horsepower. Installation was easy except for a hood sensor that had to be removed and installed elsewhere. I appreciate the closed box intake over open since I have used the open before and the filter stays alot cleaner with the Volant." —Pat B from Wynot, NE bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2002 Ford Explorer, Non-sport, 4.0L SOHC V6.
"Installation was very easy but the directions could be a little bit more clear...shipping was fast...gas milage went up 2 mpg...excellent...would recommend to anyone" —James P from Beaver, PA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2002 Ford Explorer, XLT, 4.0L V6.
"The product is easy to install, and immediately increases engine horsepowre and response." —Ray P from Mansfield, OH bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2002 Ford Explorer.
"It's amazing why vehicles don't come equiped with these kinds of upgrades out of factory, it makes a huge difference. I installed this FIPK in conjunction with a cat-back exhaust. Install is made easy with instructions and diagrams by K&N. My 02 Explorer has a new life." —Dinorah J from Chula Vista, CA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2002 Ford Explorer.
"Looks great installed and you can definately feel the difference. I would recommend it. The downside (why 4 stars instead of 5) is no directions were included and the sleeves were so tight I had to heat them with a heat gun to stretch them to go over the intake tube. The elbow fitting was too small and didn't fit the hose. All in all it took a lot longer than it should have, but it does look sweet when finished." —Brandon H from Edmond, OK bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2002 Ford Explorer, Non-Sport, 4.0L V6.
"I own a 2002 ford explorer sport and I need more power!! This K&N Intake Kit did it!! Since I installed it I have noticed faster accelaration and better fuel economy(about 2 miles per gallon)." —Christopher T from Joint Base Lewis Mcchord, WA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2002 Ford Explorer.
