"The system works great. Not too much noise like other air intake systems. The only problem was fitment. Mine rubs on the power steering filler. (2005 F-150 5.4)" —Timothy S from Woodland Hills, CA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Already had the Airaid intake for my '05 F150 so this was the natural next course of action. The Poweraid was a breeze to install and I could feel the slight power increase immediately. The whistle I'm not crazy about and I worry the dog might have issues with the pitch (rides in cab), but that's the way it goes. I didn't recieve "gaskets" such as those I see with the picture, but instructions didn't call out for them. Thanks for the cool product and I recommend it for all." —Chuck K from Escondido, CA bought an Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"The intake was very easy to install. It only took about 30 min. The one thing it doesn't state, is where the additional gasket goes. It gets put into place on the air filter box which presses against the fenderwell. Otherwise, I was able to feel a boost in the low end once I put it on. The only thing left to do is buy a programmer so I can really let the engine breathe. Otherwise, every little addition helps." —David B from Stockton, CA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Have been trying forever to locate cold air intake for '00 Ranger with 4.0 X-code engine. Finally found Stage 1 kit. Install was easy. Suggest including 2 replacement bolts/nuts for the breather tube support/mounting bracket. Existing holes in radiator support lined up fine, but existing self-tapper almost too short and about to strip.Engine seems peppier, but X-codes are hard to coax HP out of. Not one of Ford's better engines. Very good product for the money, though." —Mark C from Mescalero, NM bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Installed on '06 Camry with 3.3L eng. Intake sounds louder but not excessively so and only on acceleration. Seems to have picked up some additional power. Product was easy to install, although instuction pictures could be clearer; rather grainy. Install took about 45 mins. taking it easy and following the instructions. Overall, am very satisfied with the quality of this product, as well as the service from AutoAnything." —Mark C from Mescalero, NM bought an Injen IS Series Short Ram Intake for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Installed Volant in '05 F-150,4.6L, 4WD. Could hear the air intake difference immediately after install. About 2 weeks later, had Flowmaster series 50 muffler & 3" dia. tailpipe installed. Can now spin the rear tires from a stop, which would not happen before. Throttle response is noticeably quicker. Only the lack of a CLEAR set of install instructions prevented a 5 star rating. Very satisfied with this product." —Mark C from Mescalero, NM bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Easy to install. Perfect fit. Vehicle feels quicker. Accelerating onto and passing on the highway is much better than stock intake. At around 2000rpm you hear a noticable growl. Have not installed an aftermarket exhaust yet, but I expect the intake system to operate even better with it!" —Sean C from Killeen, TX bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Autoanything service is 2nd to none, very helpful. Filter kit is great...easy to install, adds power and the sound is fericious when throttle is opened...very tame otherwise. Nice addition, not sure of mileage benefit..can't keep my foot out of it." —William D from Brentwood, TN bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Installation was simple, fits perfectly. Provided a slight gain in power as well as an increase in fuel economy." —Chad B from Las Vegas, NV bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"It took right at two hours to put on but as soon as I fired up my F150 this thing spoke to me. Easy to install, nice horse power boost and I am getting about 2 more miles per gallon." —Jefferson E from Lillington, NC bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 Ford F-150.
"Can't tell a big difference in gas mileage yet, but truck is definately quicker/more responsive and has more of a growl. Installation took me about and hour and a half and I needed a second set of hands to hold tube in place while I bolted to the throttle body addapter." —Matthew M from Anchorage, AK bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 Ford F-150.
