"This is my first Volant CAI. I have had others and liked them but soon grew tired of the loud noise. The Volant is not too loud with normal driving, I really like that. When you do go full throttle the beast sounds like a Lion. The overall look and style is better than the other brands IMO. I am pleased with my choice." —Jerry P from Chesterfield, VA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"easy to install runs great" —Ronald J from Cayuga, TX bought a Taylor Cable Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"WELL,IT INSTALLED FAIRLY EASY AND LOOKS FINE,I AM EXPERIENCING SMOKE NOW FROM MY EXAUST WHEN I START IT UP UNTIL IT WARMS UP.I DO NOTICE A DIFFERENCE IN POWER, AND A SMALL ROAR WHEN YOU GET ON IT, MY F-150 ALREADY HAD A THROATY SOUND SO IT WAS A NICE SMALL ADDITION. THE TRUE TEST WILL BE WHEN I HOOK UP TO MY TRAVEL TRAILER AND HEAD SOUTH IN TWO WEEKS,HOPING TO PICK UP 1-2 MILES PER GALLON ALTHOUGH 1 WOULD BE FINE. I SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO NOTICE A LITTLE MORE IN THE BALLS CATEGORY. OVERALL PLEASED BUT NOT ESTATIC." —Bernard K from Vermilion, OH bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"This was easy to install and immediately noticed a difference. Paired up with a Gibson exhaust system my truck sounds like a beast. A bit more responsive outta the gate and that's what I was looking for. Gas milage increased a little bit too which I was happy to see. On cold start ups there's a bit of a hesitation that wasn't there before but all in all a good product and I'm a satisfied customer." —Eric A from Appleton, WI bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"Getting an extra 1 to 2 MPG in the city. Have yet to really test it out but that already is worth the 300 dollars up front." —Tyler A from Pacifica, CA bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"It took me about 30 min to install this, and I'm no mechanic. I could notice a significant increase in throttle response, and increase power at lower rpms. You can't hear a difference if you accelerate slowly or just cruising, but there's a perfect growl when you step on it. I couldn't ask for more" —Cory J from Enterprise, AL bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"Although the directions were incomplete, simply giving a chart with where things go, I installed it to the best of my ability and have had no issues as of yet. I immediately noticed a lot more pep out of my otherwise stock truck. After a tank of gas I have realized a 1 MPG gain from the system. There is a bit of a throaty sound when forcing the gas pedal to the floor, but definitely worth the money. With gas at $4/Gal this thing will pay for itself in no time!" —Matt M from Inverness, FL bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"seems to increase horsepower but noisy - very high pitched when accelerating quickly" —Robert F from West Chester, OH bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"Installed along with an Airaid throttle body spacer...didnt notice much of a difference with the Airaid (installed one week prior to Volant CAI). After the install of the CAI, around 23-2500RPM and WHOOSH! I have actually loosed the rear tires on this F150 Crew with oversize tires on 20" wheels. This thing boogies...sounds great, and did increase MPG (overall, w Airaid) about 2MPG. Would buy again and do recommend!" —Robert D from Milpitas, CA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"There are 3 things I didn't like: 1- the cap to the fluid tank didn't snap on to it like factory. I had to place some tape around the cap to keep it from falling out.2- there was a issue with the bracket that connects to the air box didn't really reach or line up right?3- there was a small gap between the tube that u place the air sensor in and the main box. Placed a piece of rubber around it to fill it." —Chad A from Fort Worth, TX bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2009 Ford F-150.
"Really impressed with the quality and design compared to other intakes for this model truck. The only thing they could have added in the diagram is maybe a sentence telling you to remove the factory rubber baffles that surrounded the factory air box. So fresh air can make it's way to the new intake. It only came with a parts diagram and no instructions, yet it's very self explanatory. Installation only took me 15min, just make sure you have the proper tool to remove the mass air sensor." —Joshua J from Philadelphia, MS bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2009 Ford F-150.
