Taylor Cable Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer Reviews

1998 F150 4.6 V8

I am very pleased with my new Taylor Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer. I was very easy to install and I have already noticed a 2-3 mpg increase in fuel economy. I have no other mods on my truck except for a free-flowing exhaust. I plasn to add an Edge programmer and BBK underdrive pulleys. Let you know how that works out. Reguardless of what most people believe, I received the greatest increase in mileage on my previous truck by simply installing a tonneau cover. Removing or lowering your tailgate does not increase your mileage. You have to eliminated the turbulence in the bed.

Volant HV Cold Air Intake Replacement Filters with Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology Reviews

Volant Filter #61503, 2006 Ford F-150 5.4L V8 3v

Reviewed By Charles B (Wichita Falls, TX) Reviewed for a 2006 Ford F-150 —8/6/2010 9:02 PM

I bought this filter because I didn't want to mess with an oiled air filter. Now, I don't really notice any difference in performance from the filter that came with the Volant CAI I bought off of eBay, but I can be confident that this filter will capture nearly everything and last 100,000 miles. In addition I bought a Filter Minder because I figured that for a filter designed to last up to 100,000 miles, I would buy it so that I wouldn't have to take the filter off occasionally to look for dirt because the filter is a very tight fit. I had to remove the intake tube so that I could get it on (I put my hand in the box tube to help get the filter on).
