MAFS slot welded on upside down

Reviewed By Justin B (TUCSON, AZ) Reviewed for a 2004 Ford F-150 —1/9/2016 10:08 AM

It was delivered quickly and came packed very well. However when installing it I realized that the Mass Airflow Sensor slot was welded on upside down so it did not fit properly. Rather then drilling new holes in my new intake or tyring to deal with returns I merely cut a section out of the MAFS and used a washer to keep the screw in place. It seems to be working well. All in all I have not noticed significant power gains but have seen a decent jump in mileage, but the sound is great!

Great Intake For People On A Budget!

Reviewed By Julio A (Huntington Station, NY) Reviewed for a 2004 Ford F-150 —7/31/2013 11:47 AM

The Jr. Kit definitely boosted the performance of my F-150, not as much as I expected but it did. It seems that the truck is picking up speed slightly faster. Additionally, it gives the engine bay a much cleaner look than the factory intake tube. However, the notch that snaps the Airaid intake tube into the factory air box seems to strip easily. It's already more worn than the notch on the factory tube and I've only had to remove it once. The filter on the other hand is very high quality.

Easy install nice deep intake sound

Reviewed By Paul R (Morgan Hill, CA) Reviewed for a 2004 Ford F-150 —9/13/2008 7:56 AM

Now that I finally got to drive my 150 with my Airaid intake on it. It does make a difference in the performace of the truck. The F150 with the 4.6L is kind of slow and does'nt get up and go too well. You can feel the power now with it, and the deep intake sound it makes. It's not too hard to install, and only took me about 15 minutes to take out the stock unit and install the Airaid unit. I drove all the way to Las Vegas and back, and was getting about 20 miles to the gallon. That truck never got that kind of mileage before more like 16 MPG. Even going to and from work and driving around town I get about 16 MPG, I only got about 14 MPG before.
