"The only thing I can say negitive about this system is the need for better installation instructions, but other than that ist is a great improvement in performance. Haven't had it long enough to see what improvements might have been gained in milage but hoping for some." —Henry H from The Colony, TX bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"Seems to give me more passing power. Not sure about a gas mileage gain." —Kenneth C from Jacksonville, FL bought an Airaid Intake System for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"I love the intake. It sounds great when you floor it and get better gas milage." —Gregory P from Yardley, PA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"Easy to install took about 45 minutes, seems like truck has more low end horsepower. Gas mileage is a little better so far,but my truck only has 600 miles on it," —John H from Las Vegas, NV bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"I install it on my 2006 F-150 5.4, it took me about an 1 1/2 hours to install, very good instructions and it looks great on the truck. When I took it for a test drive I couldn't believe how great it sounds, the motor really breaths. The performance is much better, you can tell the difference from a dead stop, and you can really feel the difference when you need to pass someone. Not sure on fuel mileage yet. Combined with flowmaster catbacks I already have on the truck it is AWESOME! Now all I need is a superchips programmer and I'll be set." —Robert L from Coopersville, MI bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"I'm overall very impressed with my new intake. It definetly takes the mute off the stock engine, making it more throaty and aggressive sounding. There is no loud 'whoosh' sound like other performance intakes. My only complaints are the instructions, where a lot of little things are left out (the instructions didn't even mention the gasket for the throttle body, I found it later and pulled everything back apart to put it on, and I still have bag left of washers and lock washers because it didn't say where to use them), and the plastic pipe fittings on the sides for some kind of bleed line, they're very cheap feeling and don't fit well. Other than those minor complaints however, great intake, and a definite performance boost for my F150." —Derek H from Federal Way, WA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"The instructions could be updated for the 2006's besides that. I am pleased with it." —Ed B from Tilton, IL bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"Easy to install, went great with my catback exhaust.Only thing now is I think the truck needs a chip or performance monitor. get better highway gas milage than before, great intake!" —Nicole B from Middletown, NJ bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2006 Ford F-150.
"I get great throttle response from the Volant and love the CAI. The only bad point I have regarding the Volant is that the install instructions are VERY bad and could use some more detail with pictures." —Scott C from Platteville, WI bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2006 Ford F-150.
