The actual filter location appears it will get wet at the carwash????" —David B from Purcell, OK bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1998 Ford Ranger, 3.0L V6.
"Received the system very quickly. Had a few problems installing the system: 1) Worm gear clamps were at the max and struggled to get them to fit. 2) The flexable connectors were also hard to get them to slide on to the tubing. Other then that the system looks and sounds great!! Engine iddles better and looking to see an increase in gas milage. Good product." —Darryl H from Butler, PA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 1998 Ford Ranger, 4.0L V6.
"I installed the K & B intake and filter myself with very few problems. The instructions were fairly easy to follow and in about an hour, we were done and test drove it. I was amazed at the increase in performance that I immediately noticed. The Ford Ranger seems like a new truck as it will accelerate quickly, seems to be a bit more powerful on the road and overall just sounds better. I would recommend this to anyone who is feeling like they are in an anemic little vehicle." —Kevin S from Whitehall, MT bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1998 Ford Ranger.
"The new FIPK kit for my '98 Ranger is awesome. My truck has 135,000 miles and I wanted to install this kit for better air flow and fuel economy. Since installing the kit I have picked up 2mpg. It may not seem like a lot, but over a tank full of gas it is an extra 30 - 35 miles per tank." —Joseph B from Dawsonville, GA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1998 Ford Ranger.

"I have been wanting this for a while but most everywhere I looked it was close to $400, I finally found a great deal here and ordered it. Box showed up a few days later and I pulled my truck into the garage and kicked on the radio. I had my old intake system out in a matter of about 15 minutes and was beginning the install of the new system. Installing it was very easy, except I didnt have the 11/16 bit for the hole fot the air temp sensor, but I got it drilled out another way. I finished installing the kit, rehooked up the battery and fired up my truck, backed out of the garage and went for a test drive. The overall sound was good and the increase of power was very good. I would reccommend this to anyone who wants a little more go. If you play in the dirt like I do then you should get the blue cover to keep out more of the dust." —Ryan W from Quincy, CA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1998 Ford Ranger, 4.0L V6.
