"Install was a breeze I like the product the seals that they send you are not that great of quality. I can tell a difference in the turbo boost but it's to early to see a difference in fuel mileage" —Travis W from Winnabow, NC bought an aFe Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"Installation wasn't bad. You need some vice grips to back the bolts out that the throttle body attaches to. Directions weren't all that clear, but even for a non-mechanic like me; you can figure it out as you go. Let me say first off, that its not worth getting a TBS unless you have a cold air intake. Also, TBS probably aren't as effective on Vortec engines as they are on other engines, especially older model engines. BUT! with my CAI, I felt like the TBS brought the air system together. I definately noticed a bit more torque and better throttle response. The whistling sound is cool, sounds like a mini turbo...although I can barely hear it over my exhaust." —Michelle B from San Antonio, TX bought an Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"I have a 2005 GMC Sierra with 5.3 Installation was so easy it almost installed itself. Throttle response and power improved a noticeable amount. This at the expense of slightly increased intake noise, and that only at the more open throttle settings, not normal driving settigs. That pleasing roar is part of the fun anyway. Have not had it on long enough to report anything about gasoline mileage. First tank got 18.8, about it's normal. other similar trucks i have had got 1.0 to 1.5 better on average. Thats 30 day average, not trip average." —Bert R from Morgan City, MS bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"Very easy install.Great performance over stock. Best add on to my truck. More extra performance from this than the Superchip or exhaust system." —Fred V from Manhattan, NV bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"I have a 2005 Gmc sierra and i can definately feel the difference in power and it gave my truck a little bit of a different sound. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants better throttle response and some extra hp." —Alexandria B from Hopewell Junction, NY bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"air intake was easy to install looks great works wellto early to tell if mpg have changed but throttle responsehas seem too" —Jason T from Cumberland, MD bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"Just installed the banks intake with ram air on my 05 duramax.only took about a half hour to install. I can now get 20+ mpg( if i drive the speed limit and stay outta the throttle). I have noticed a temp drop on the egts. works great with the edge juice w attitude!! Intake is a bit pricey but would recommend for sure! the ram air part of the install will take a little more time if you follow the instructions(supposed to remove the passenger side fender) but i just kinda jammed it in there and ran some self tapping screws through the box inlet into the ram air piece. GREAT BUY!" —Jason R from Paris, MI bought a Banks Ram-Air Intake for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"The only instructions received for this install was a parts list and diagram. Even with this it still did not include all of the parts furnished for the assembly. With other vehicle installs they furnished a very detailed step by step set of instructions. I thought at first that maybe they missed putting them in the box but when I went to their website I found the same that they didn't offer any further instructions. It was very helpful that I had knowledge from other installs. For someone without this prior experience it could take some time to install." —Jeff C from Collinsville, OK bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"Easy install. I can hear the turbo whistle a little sooner now and when I step on it, it kind of sounds like a vacuum sucking air. It's a little early to tell exactly how much the milegae went up, but I do think I'm seeing an increase. Power seems better as well. I will recommend this to my friends." —Jeff C from Scottsbluff, NE bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"Great product that is easy to install and looks good with great problem I have is wish that the filter was more price only solidly mounted to the bracket." —Michael B from Howardsville, VA bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
"Installation was ok, but does not line up with the new air box well. Seems like it is too generic (as in one size fits all). Has clearance issues with the upper radiator hose and the air conditioning hoses. had to run between them and does not fit squarely into the new air box. Even with this issue it is a great value and works very well,,took a road trip after it was installed and improved highway mileage for this very frequent 300 mile trip from 18.7mpg to 21.3,,,I can actually hear my engine breathing now!" —Ray W from Oklahoma City, OK bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2005 GMC Sierra.
