"I also bought an air raid Throttle body spacer It pushed the whole intake out an inch or so, just enough to push it into the fan. So I had to modify the whole thing, but I made it work. It reduced my cruising RPM's by about 200-300. 60mph-1600
45mph-1100. Put the pedel all thhe way down and it will get me right where I need to be. Exhaust is next, maby in the spring. It's a 4.8 2wd sierra vortec. Giddy up" —Jeremy D. G from Bristol, CT bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2001 GMC Sierra.
"It was fairly easy to install and looks good.I noticed more power right away but haven't had enough time to check for better fuel mileage." —Phil V from Hull, IA bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2001 GMC Sierra.
"Takes less than 2 hrs to install. Fit & finish is great. Instant power conversion. K&N has always produced a very fine product and their quality control is very good. Experience 2 mpg increase in local driving. Expect to get better mpg on next trio. The duel flo Masters exhaust system really talk loud after the conversion." —Leonard J from Rockledge , FL bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2001 GMC Sierra, 1500, 5.3L V8.
"Very quick shipping. Very simple installation with basic tools. Too soon to rate performance or increase in MPG, but it looks great!" —Troy L from Streetsboro, OH bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2001 GMC Sierra.
"Over all the Spectre cold air intake is a good investment. Easy to install, took me less than 20mns and looks awesome. The only problem I ran into is the heat shield is a little to big, so I have to grind it down 1 1/2 in. To fit my 2001 sierra. Also the hole for the bolt that goes to the radiator does not line u at all. It was off by 3 inches. Had to modify a little but it was worth it. Throttle response is impressive and after a month of driving the mpg went up 5." —Mario B from Borger, TX bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2001 GMC Sierra, 5.3L V8.
"I recently bought the Volant cold air intake for my sierra and overall I am very impressed. I have installed K&N air filters on similar trucks but the installation of the Volant was much faster and much more straight forward. The fit is perfect under the hood and it looks great. The throttle response is much better now, as for gas mileage so far I have only seen a half mile per gallon difference. I am very pleased and would definetly suggest to anyone!" —Gabriel B from Mishicot, WI bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2001 GMC Sierra, 5.3L V8.
"Great Product, it really works. Most of all the power increase is awesome. I'll take whatever increase of MPG one can get." —John M from Lewiston, ID bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2001 GMC Sierra, 2500HD, 8.1L V8.

"i have a 01 gmc sierra c3 with the vortec 6000 6.0L V8. i had an avg mpg of about 13.7 i drove about 550 miles and the new mpg is sitting right about 14.4. and added 10 hp. for the price of this intake, and the price of fuel. it is well worth the cost. i have added duel flowmaster 50 delta series mufflers and they sound outstanding. i recommend this intake for anyone looking for any improvement in mpg or power, this is the one for you." —Andrew E from Tucson, AZ bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2001 GMC Sierra, C3, 6.0L V8.
