Throttle body spacer

Reviewed By Matthew T (Decatur, IL) Reviewed for a 2007 GMC Sierra —3/21/2011 8:24 PM

I bought this throttle body spacer for my 2007 GMC Sierra SLE Classic hoping to get a few more mpg's. I have the 77 series K&N cold air intake already installed. I have a leveling kit, Y'ed 50 series flowmasters, but everything else is stock including tires. After installation and driving around for awhile, I have noticed better throttle response and about 1 or 2 miles per gallon better in town (15-17) and maybe 2 or 3 better on the highway (19-20). The 50 series flowmasters cover up most of the whistle, but honestly I like the sound of it.

Go With Spectre

As far as I can tell, it does what it's meant to. I put this on before I put on my Spectre cold air intake to test it and noticed an immediate throttle difference, definitely added some power. And it hasn't messed with my mass air flow sensor. Don't buy this to save gas though, I haven't noticed much of a difference. Wasn't too hard to install either, just make sure you have a socket set and a pair of vice grips at least and you'll be fine.

So first of all let me start by saying this thing does have a whistle noise even though it says its quiet. I do have a aftermarket intake and I'm not sure whether it makes it whistle more because of all the air coming in faster. Also I had to cut some plastic to make it fit because of aftermarket intake. Now for the mpg/hp/tq gains as far as the mpg I'm not too sure on that but I do have better throttle response and my truck gets going better than usual my truck does feel like it has more power.
