"The Spectre Air Intake greatly increases horsepower and exhaust sound. I have a Flowmaster exhaust system on my 05 Yukon and before I bought this intake system my exhaust was pretty loud, but now it is really impressive. The throttle response is awesome and with both the exhaust and the intake I would say I've probably gained over 45hp. If you are a person that is looking for more MPG than I wouldnt waste money on this. I've only gained about 0.5 MPG on the highway and none in the city. This intake is designed for the person that wants gain hp and noise level. If you plan on installing it yourself you should probably plan on about 1.5 hours. Don't waste your time with expensive alternative systems that dont work any better than the Spectre. All intake systems are about the same in the aspect that they increase power "Not MPG."" —Robert T from Port Huron, MI bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2005 GMC Yukon, 5.3L V8.
"I love the new sound the truck makes when you stomp on the gas. With that in mind no savings yet on the gas mileage!" —Brian R from Plantsville, CT bought a K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit for a 2005 GMC Yukon.
"I bought this puppy quite frankly because I was bored with my 05 Yukon 5.3 SLT. From popping the hood to closing it took me 45 minutes. Very easy to install. The sound is not recognizable at idle and while cruising around town so the wife won't know you spent "her" money. When you bury your foot though is when she comes to life. The few extra ponies I picked up are excellent as well. 11 city up to 13.5 avg. Excellent" —Warren G from Phoenix, AZ bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 GMC Yukon, 5.3L V8.
"Very good intake it was so easy to install. Fit was excellent did not have a hard time inatalling. Sealed box with power core I have the scoop as well I have not install the scoop because its raining season and needs the extra protection filter not included. Performance well I have a custom tune by diablew so Hell yeah power is there. I don't know how well this caí would have been with out the custom tune. Because I didn't drive it with out it." —Oscar A from Norfolk, NE bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 GMC Yukon, 5.3L V8.
"The quality and appearance of the Volant Air Intake is second to none. I have noticed a 1mpg improvement in city driving and increased throttle response. Current performance modifications consists of a Corsa touring exhaust and Westers 89/91 dual pcm tune. The deep aggressive sound on open throttle is just amazing!" —Rhen C from San Diego, CA bought a Volant Cold Air Intakes for a 2005 GMC Yukon, 5.3L V8.
"Took longer than i thought to install it. Me & my dad have never done anything under the hood of a car before...and it took us an hour and a half to 2 hours. The instructions help but you might look for other guidance. I can really notice the sound when I hit it hard and it sounds fantastic! The power definitely picked up and the car drives totally differently (better). Hill climbing is better. I haven't had a chance to check out the MPG change. Throttle response slightly improved." —Matt G from Laguna Hills, CA bought a K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit for a 2005 GMC Yukon, 5.3L V8.
