K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (50-State Legal) Reviews

Just the extra pull and sound I was seeking

Reviewed By Chi-Kai H (REDMOND, WA) Reviewed for a 2007 Honda S2000 —3/30/2016 10:00 PM

I was seeking an easy add-on to my S2000 that would make the biggest performance gain for the buck. There were a number of forum posts saying this was the one, so I picked it up. Installation wasn't that straight forward as the directions were missing a few specific notes on which washer/screws to use. Then I had to punch a 5/8" hole in the plastic and shove a rubber insulation piece for the O2 sensor. In any case it got in and WOW...sounded great and pulled just that much harder.

Flow and Go

I immediately noticed the increased acceleration due to the 63 series air intake. There is an audible increase of throaty power at the higher RPM's while the lower RPM's sound no different at all. I find this to be a highly desirable result.

K&N Typhoon Intake Review

Reviewed By Jonathan B (Agoura Hills, CA) Reviewed for a 2002 Honda S2000 —4/15/2008 12:21 PM

For one reason or another I heard nothing but bad remarks about this kit. The instructions were very straightforward in informative. I cut out the lower front valance "vent" so that the filter had complete access to fresh air. This is THE most effective power per dollar investment for the S2000. I KNOW I gained at least 9-12bhp (more than the claimed advertisement) from the kit's placement and by cutting away the front bumper "vent". Not to mention I'm now AVERAGING 26-27mpg! The cutting of the front bumper "vent" made a significant difference in power at speed and the angry growling sound from 6k-9K RPM.
