Simple way to increase some power

Reviewed By Gary S (HAMDEN, CT) Reviewed for a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee —12/23/2015 6:38 PM

This is a nice item to help give some more power to my 3.7L V6. There was noticeable amount of power to the Jeep right after it was installed. It did take some time to actually assemble all of the parts. The directions of dis-assembly didn't match the stock intake that I had, so I had to figure that part out myself.

mikemoto

Clearly a quality product. An easy hour to remove stock intake and install Volant CAI in my 2014 Jeep GCL 5.7. Glad it is a full box for clean look; wish lid were removable for access, but a minor factor since I have the Donaldson no maintenance filter. Know that the higher flowing, oilable filter uses the same housing. No doubt throttle response is crisper everywhere, and the sound the hemi makes under throttle will bring a smile to your face. Add a throttle body and tune for maximum benefit.

K&N intake sounds great and a bit more MPG

Reviewed By Jennifer L L (WEST VALLEY CITY, UT) Reviewed for a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee —4/7/2017 8:04 AM

I have only had this on for about a tank and a half but so far it looks like I gained about 1 MPG in my daily commute. Install was easy, just have to be careful when you install the temp sensor into the K&N tube, I used a bit of window cleaner and patience and got it seated fully. Also to note on my 2017 the elbow that connects to the crankcase vent was glued on so it took me a while to gently pry the glue loose. It is quiet cruising and sounds great under heavy throttle. Richard was great.
