Jeep Grand Cherokee with V6

Reviewed By BRADLEY C (Carmel, IN) Reviewed for a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee —9/11/2013 10:32 AM

The instructional pictures didn't match up exactly to my year of vehicle & the hardware kit was crap. I had to use some of my own hardware to complete the installation and the instructions don't properly identify the fasteners, etc. After a frustrating pre-assembly, the kit installed easily. My on-board computer showed an immediate increase in MPG as high as 25MPG then settled 23.8 during my first road trip. The previous high hwy MPG was 22.5. I detect no change in sound volume from my V6.

You need one!

Noticeable improvement in power and have gained about 1 mpg (according to my Electronic Vehicle Information Center). Looks great under the hood too. Most unexpected improvement was in sound! Really makes the Hemi roar under WOT (with no noticeable change at idle). Best price I could find online was here at AutoAnything (especially if you search for an online coupon!)

Easy Install!

Reviewed By Mark H (BURLESON, TX) Reviewed for a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee —2/20/2015 6:17 AM

Installation was a breeze on my 2013 JGC. I prepped the parts ahead of time while watching TV, putting the things together that were going to go together during install. Then, when I was at the car, it took about 20 minutes to pull out the old and install the K&N. Only slight challenge was the electronic sensor doohickey that was pretty short and had to stretch to install in the K&N tube. No idea yet on improved MPG or HP, but believe that it will deliver as promised. Love the sound!
