Airaid Intake System Reviews

For a Jeep Commander

Reviewed By Alexander Y (Pewee Valley, KY) Reviewed for a 2010 Jeep Commander —11/20/2015 9:16 AM

The unit is pretty simple and actual HP gains are questionable at a stated 12hp. I am sure though, that the Jeep breaths better and overall installation took about an hour. Instructions would be better if pictures were clearer or in color. Otherwise, good product and a little pricey compared to K&N.

Apprearances matter

Reviewed By Donald T (Gardner, KS) Reviewed for a 2012 Ford F-150 —7/12/2017 10:30 AM

Certainly de-clutters the engine compartment. Well made intake tube. Casting seams, while visible are smooth to the touch (no casting flash). Nice textured finish. Easy install. If you lift the air box lid to ease installation, be sure the lid is properly seated and latched before tightening any clamps. The supplied hump hose is a lot stiffer than the OEM intake tube's accordion connection. End result: clean appearance, a bit more intake sound (noise?) at WOT, as expected.

Great sound

Reviewed By Jacob P (APPLETON, WI) Reviewed for a 2011 Chevy Avalanche —7/4/2017 8:55 AM

The kit is very basic to install and it sounds great. The stock intake in my truck has 3 large silencer sections that are now gone. Maybe slightly better mpg's so far. Been about 2 weeks.
