K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems Reviews

Great fun, great sound!

Reviewed By James F (PHOENIX, AZ) Reviewed for a 2013 Mazda 3 —4/22/2014 11:17 AM

This air intake is really fun on my 2013 Mazdaspeed3. Noticeable increase in horsepower which means bad on gas (my fault for having too much fun). I am looking forward to the excitement wearing off a little so I can see improved gas mileage, but with that sound, it's tough to accelerate at an economical rate. I thought the piping finish would be chrome. Instead it was a glittery silver, but doesn't look bad. Recommended!

HPS Performance Short Ram Air Intakes Reviews

Short Ram

Reviewed By Kristifer O (MILWAUKEE, WI) Reviewed for a 2006 Mazda 3 —4/1/2016 9:38 AM

I was replacing a damaged cold air intake I had previously installed 6 years ago, it took me less than 20 minutes to install. Sounds great, you definitely feel the increased power once the factory auto transmission shifts into 3rd gear. Also, I am averaging about 1-2 miles per gallon better per trip.

Jet Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor Reviews

Easy upgrade that adds a little kick

Reviewed By Bernie J (ALBUQUERQUE, NM) Reviewed for a 2008 Mazda 3 —3/20/2016 5:43 AM

I use the Jet Power-Flow MAF with a short ram air intake. When I first installed it it wasn't seated properly and allowed air to blow by the seal around the sensor making the engine run rough. Once I figured that out and reset the engine computer by pulling the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes it runs much better. Definitely feel a difference in the low end. Gas milage is probably lower because of how I drive it now! A great little easy upgrade for around $130 with the right coupon.
