K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems Reviews

Growls for the Girls

Reviewed By Ethan E (Binghamton, NY) Reviewed for a 2014 Mazda 3 —10/12/2016 9:53 AM

K&N truly is the best in the intake game. The new intake took half an hour to install with very few tools. My fuel economy went up and my engine sounds deeper under acceleration. However, if you are looking for HP gains, you are very unlikely to find any gain in power from this intake or any intake alone. Thanks for a great product, K&N!

Great sound!

Directions were a little lacking but overall installation went pretty good. Takes some time to get the old air box out so plan on more than an hour.

Jet Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor Reviews

Easy upgrade that adds a little kick

Reviewed By Bernie J (ALBUQUERQUE, NM) Reviewed for a 2008 Mazda 3 —3/20/2016 5:43 AM

I use the Jet Power-Flow MAF with a short ram air intake. When I first installed it it wasn't seated properly and allowed air to blow by the seal around the sensor making the engine run rough. Once I figured that out and reset the engine computer by pulling the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes it runs much better. Definitely feel a difference in the low end. Gas milage is probably lower because of how I drive it now! A great little easy upgrade for around $130 with the right coupon.
