"great product installation instructions a little fuzzy but figured it out.. Great product and Great company have dealt with autoanything before and will continue..." —Scott E from Ojibwa, WI bought a K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems for a 2003 Mazda 6.
"I purchased this air intake a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it! I have it configured as a short ram presently, and I have no plans to do the full install. I really like that I have the option to install the additional pipe at a later time, though! As for the sound, it gives my Mazda 6S tons of gruff! I must admit, I haven't had my stereo turned on for the past few weeks since the sound of my car is so appealing. Dead serious! You can definitely notice more pep while driving, and contrary to some claims, I've yet to get a "check engine light" error! I should also mention that the biggest reason I purchased this air intake is that I knew I wanted a short ram, and this is the ONLY ONE that will fit my car; the only other one that comes close is the AEM short ram, but I spoke to AEM directly, and they confirmed that their short ram intake will NOT work with a manual transmission '03 Mazda 6S. Regardless, I'm glad that I purchased the K&N intake, and I'm sure I would've missed out had I purchased anything else!
The only complaint I have is that the included directions were a little unclear. They include step-by-step pictures, but the actual printing quality is pretty low. I'd recommend downloading the .pdf installation instructions for your car directly from the K&N website." —Chris S from Cambridge, MD bought a K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems for a 2003 Mazda 6, 3.0L V6.
"product works great. It brought up no CEL when installed. I can feel a bit of difference when accelerating too." —Jon B from Liberty, IN bought an AEM Short Ram Intake System for a 2003 Mazda 6, 6i, automatic, 2.3L 4-cyl. engine.
"I think the AEM short ram intake works great. I noticed an instant change in accleration. i'm getting better fuel MPG< about 2miles extra. The sound of it is awesome and it was very easy to install. took about an hour to complete. I love it." —Toni P from Buffalo, NY bought an AEM Short Ram Intake System for a 2003 Mazda 6, 6s, 3.0L V6, automatic transmission.
"After I got my AEM Short Ram Intake System, my car sounded better than ever. It has such great flow, that you can hear it sucking in air when you get on it! Not only did it give me more midrange power, but it improved my gasmilage too." —Travis S from Nuevo, CA bought an AEM Short Ram Intake System for a 2003 Mazda 6, 6s, 3.0L V6, automatic transmission.
"I got 1 for my 06 Lancer (non-evo). The most noticeable change was the louder in cabin noise from the engine. Thats GOOD. But, was expecting a bigger boost in performance." —Estevan A from Los Angeles, CA bought a K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems for a 2003 Mazda 6, Non-EVO, 2.0L 4-cyl. engine.
