It works well for the car. Make sure everything is sealed when installing. It's not a true cold air but it only runs 12 degrees warmer than ambient temp and only 2 degrees than stock. For the sounds and looks it's worth it and there's more torque. As for the 20 extra hp well it's more like 10 hp.
