Injen SP short ram intake

Reviewed By John D (Sacramento, CA) Reviewed for a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse —11/18/2014 10:49 PM

This SP intake does exactly what it is intended to do. Gave my Eclipse some more top end power and a nice throaty roar. Only negative I have about the product is that the mass air flow sensor adapter had plastic inside two of the four holes. I spent around thirty minutes just trying to pick the extra plastic out so the screws would go through. I'm sure this is a rare anomaly but it frustrated me enough to give installation a 3. Aside from that it was a breeze and the results are excellent.

Awesome!

Definitely worth every penny. Excellent way to increase up and get a little better mpg. This thing looks great and the noise it produces is orgasmic. <--- ya it's that good.

Good companion to Injen CAI

Reviewed By John J (Manchester, NJ) Reviewed for a 2009 Chevy Cobalt —12/14/2009 11:58 AM

Much easier to install than the CAI although I would change sequence of tasks slightly when installing lower pipe. I found it easier to install boot to pipe first rather than boot to end tank. In my opinion, makes for less fuss to avoid nicks in your pipe finish. Either way, aligning pipe correctly took me 3 tries (working myself). Had to spin/align clamps in order to have clear tool access to tighten. Now that I have both units in place, we'll see what HP can be gotten. Next step - off to the tuner to get max HP & torque otherwise stuck at stock settings.
