Must do mod for you 350Z !!!

Reviewed By Michael K (Raleigh, NC) Reviewed for a 2004 Nissan 350Z —4/30/2014 11:41 AM

I LOVE this mod! I had been very happy w my Z before the K&N but, I was driving a Mustang GT before the Z and I did miss the growl. The K&N gets it done. Best part is in normal driving there is only a slightly deeper exhaust note; no full time drone like the Mustang. But when you put your right foot into it HOLY S*&T does this thing roar! Noticeable boost in top end power as well. Installation was +-2hrs. Instructions were excellent w useful pictures of each step. Looks great too.

Dyno-Tuned in a Box

For the $$ it's a great deal. Installation was a little tricky, but hey it's already been done before (look at U-tube) someone has taken the time to show you how it's installed and for that I'm thankful. Looks good and once you put your foot into the pedal. the sweet sound of fresh air rushing into the motor lets you know of your success! It's only been a week so not sure about gas mileage but for a 6 spd manual tranny, I love banging the gears and it's noticeable to the ear!

K&N intake, 350Z

Reviewed By Michael L (Fort Worth, TX) Reviewed for a 2005 Nissan 350Z —8/2/2012 11:08 AM

Was surprised that tube was plastic and not black metal as is the 'filter box', but that may have been my mis-read. The filter box is not bolted to anything on the vehicle, but sits on the front of fender and other parts. Held on by one center bracket and the hose clamps. I have had to retighten the hose clamps. I installed another intake system in another vehicle that did provide that the filter box be bolted to the vehicle. That unit was more substantial. Did not change sound of exhaurs but does breath a bit louder under full throttle; not an annoying sound, but a nice deep sound.
