K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (50-State Legal) Reviews

rating the kit

Reviewed By Logan C (Lake Worth, FL) Reviewed for a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix —4/20/2008 5:10 PM

The K&N FIPK is awesome. you need to know what youre doing when installing on the 3.8L GM engines(impala, grand prix, monte carlo). once its in and you start it, it has a loud rushing air sound to it..thats normal. but always double check around clamps for proper tightness for any air leaks. ive noticed an improvement in gas mileage. about 1.5 miles per gallon increase. sounds awesome when you're full throttle. all in all a great intake kit!

THIS REPLACEMENT FILTER IS GREAT TO HAVE WHILE YOU RECHARGING YOUR OLD ONE.YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOUR OLD ONE TO DRY. ITS GOOD TO HAVE A SPARE.I GET GREAT GAS MILEAGE WHILE TRAVELING.

Jet Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor Reviews

Jet MAF

Good overall performance. Gave me more top end power. Very quick and east to install. Definitely needs a 'HPTuner' to dial it in correctly to get the most performance. That'll be real soon for me. I don't see any MPG gains from it. More air you have the more fuel you'll need to 'mix and burn'. If performance is what you want then it's well worth the money. Don't get this if you want to be economical with your car. I was surprise that it didn't come with a wire mesh screen. I had to utilize the old factory one. More performance without the screen, but poor gas mileage.
