I couldn't wait to drive my car right after installing it. The K&N Intake system makes a noticeable difference and love sound when stomping on the gas.

There was a noticeable increase in performance and economy, but now the noise is a bit much. There was no isolation box with the kit, which contributes to the noise and allows the engine to pull in hot air from the engine compartment.

On a lot of cars, adding a CAI doesn't have a major impact. The L76 6.0L V8 in the Pontiac G8 is the most conservatively tuned version in the L76 family. The engine is very restricted at the intake and the Volant system is a huge improvement. It was easy to install (about 45 minutes). Couple with a specific tune and you can add 30 to 35 HP to your G8. You can't beat the bang for the buck!
