"Directions are "good" at best. The heat shield takes a "little persuasion" to get the 6mm bolt to line up with the fender. Once installled, about 40 minutes... big difference in performance and great "growl" from under the hood." —Jeff Z from Bernardston, MA bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"I am very pleased with this add on. It made a significant improvement in letting the engine breathe over the stock air intake system. Seems to have more response and a wider power band." —Jeremy B from Richmond, IN bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"I have put plenty of K&N cold air intakes in plenty of my cars, but this AEM made me not only hear but feel a huge difference in power to my car.Has it saved me gas? To be honest,I've enjoyed stomping on it more to care about the gas savings.I had good step by step instructions. I highly recommend this bad boy!" —Jessica L from San Antonio, TX bought an AEM Brute Force Air Intakes for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"I have a 05 GTO and I have not noticed any difference except maybe a few more miles per gallon. Instructions also need to be more straight forward I was better off just doing it without them." —Andrew S from Camp Pendleton, CA bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"It is sweet, looks good under the hood and helps a lot with horsepower. Can really tell the difference" —Andy A from Wildwood, MO bought a K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"Very nice to look at really opens up the engine compartment. But the real problem I have is trying to keep My Goat from wanting to slide all over the road when I stomp on the gas,It is a very big diffrence in the get up and go department. I love it,The best bang for your buck!!!Thanks K&N sin.Lynn" —Lynn D from Waterloo, IL bought a K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"Installation: Instructions were thorough. I had all of the tools on hand except for the Torque Tip. Installation time was about 45 minutes.Performance: Definite improvement! Three G-Timer 0-60 runs yielded consistant 4.8 seconds.(This was with a passenger and a noticible increase in wheelspin off the line. It felt about 1-2 tenths quicker than stock if I could have hooked it up. Noise: Car still remains fairly quiet until I mash the accellerator. It is much more throaty than stock under full acceleration.Fuel Economy: Now for the kicker...My instantaneous fuel computer readings are a constant 3-4 MPG above stock readings.(traveling on familiar roads.) Time average MPG has improved by 3 MPG over stock. (in order to notice this fuel economy, you need to keep your foot out of it.)Overall: Outstanding Product, K&N. Much bang-for-the-buck." —Scot S from Virginia Beach, VA bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"As far as adding sound, the intake is awesome, it produces like a whistling noise..I'm not sure if it really provided additional horse power but the whistling is good enough for me!" —Eric L from Broomall, PA bought a K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"very easy to install and now that my baby can breath better the sound she makes at full throttle is the best and the extra horsepower is very nice" —Marcus H from Willingboro, NJ bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
"I received the kit within a couple of days of placing the order. Everything was included in the box as ordered and in good condition. Although I would recommend K&N put a little more packing material inside the box to prevent the contents from shifting around. I found the instructions to be very clear and apreciated the pictorial views of each step in the installation process. I didn't rush when installing the system (trying to make sure I didn't scratch anything on my GTO), and completed the task within 2 hours. My Goat is running fine with the new Air Intake and I do feel a slight boost in power and did notice a little better fuel economy (use that justification to your wife!). I would recommend this unit to any car enthusiast." —Steve K from State College, PA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 2005 Pontiac GTO.
