I didn't notice any gains but i switch it to a short ram intake and it sounds so agressive and really good if you buying this for HP gain I wouldn't recommend it . If you buying it for sound then what you waiting for buy it it sounds sexy i tell you trust me!

Rich Sound And A Couple Of More Ponies

Reviewed By Charles V (Staten Island, NY) Reviewed for a 2008 Scion xD —9/23/2014 8:28 AM

I'd say it took me under an hour to install. I didn't have any issues. Not even with the provided silicone hose kinking when making the 90 degree angle necessary in order to connect from vent port on intake tube to valve cover. If you manipilate the tube the right way it can be achieved. The sound is rich and the horsepower improvement is evident when you climb to higher rpms before the next gear shift (manual) Imroved fuel economy? not sure and don't really care. Didn't buy it to improve on MPG

Great Cold Air Intake

Reviewed By Robert B (Virginia Beach, VA) Reviewed for a 2008 Scion xB —10/25/2011 1:59 PM

The Volant CAI is everything I wanted. Discrete, a little louder then stock, ease of filter cleaning (if needed), and very unlikely for hydro lock. I even seen an improvement of 1 MPG, cooler Intake Air Temperature, and close to 7 HP from my Innovative App. Unlike conventional CAI, this intakes filter remains in the engine bay with an extension located to a cooler area of the car as a ram air intake would do. All accessories were included for installation. The instructions could of been more descriptive, my TRD strut brace did not fit, and you have to use self tapping screws to install the MAF sensor in place.
