Spectre Cold Air Intake Reviews

Spectre Cold Air Intake review with some user observations.

Reviewed By Alan P (Birmingham, AL) Reviewed for a 2000 Toyota 4Runner —2/2/2016 4:34 PM

Installation went well with a few exceptions. First, the heat shield is too tall for the 2000 4Runner. Leaving one screw attached I lowered the shield to allow the hood to fasten down. It is loose but the lowered hood keeps it from moving. Second, the shoulder bolts on the band clamps bottomed out before they tightened down securely. I will have to buy full thread bolts to secure the air tube to the intake manifold. Performance seems to have increased a bit after a few days.

Awesome product! Big difference in my 3.4L 4Runner!

Reviewed By Craig M (Equality, AL) Reviewed for a 2000 Toyota 4Runner —8/25/2015 8:28 PM

I was very impressed with the improved performance of my 2000 Toyota 4Runner 3.4L! Definitely better throttle response and actually 2+ mpg improvement! This thing will eventually pay for itself in gas money savings! Actually, as long as the gas mileage improvement stays around 2 mpg, it will pay for itself in one year! Wow, thank you very much!

Jet Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor Reviews

2000 Toyota 4runner

Reviewed By Christopher D (VIRGINIA BEACH, VA) Reviewed for a 2000 Toyota 4Runner —3/27/2013 2:39 PM

With load range E 265/75/16 goodyear duratracs, my truck felt like it had no low end torque. I bought the jet power flow MAF sensor, and low end torque was improved. This is also with an AEM brute force intake and TRD exhaust. You can feel it in the 25-60 mph range. The check engine light did come on after install, but after cleaning the jet MAF sensor, it turned off. Highly recommended.
