"Got one for my 97 toyota 4runner. The new air filter itself is much bigger than the factory one, however the new intake when installed will accually open up a lot space around the engine where the factory housing used to be." —Bridget S from Cameron Park, CA bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1997 Toyota 4Runner.
"I installed my K&N in just over 2 hrs...but really knowing what i was getting into, I quickly summed it all up. The unit itself was not too hard in installing - once i had the basics of what i was going to do, what had to be done and how to do it.If I had to do another one of these i could do it in less than half the time. The only problem i had was that the instructions could be a little better. The drawings could be a little more detailed. I did have to resort to the internet for more(better diagrams) I also broke off the black plastic piece on the tube.I was able to find one at the auto parts store so i was back in business. I received my free replacement in the mail shortly after i called and told them. All in all i'm happy with install. I have not had it long enough to actually test the MPG but i can tell you that there is a lot more noise under the hood than before! I checked and found out the noise i was hearing is supposed to be normal." —Gig M from Setauket, NY bought a K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) for a 1997 Toyota 4Runner.
